The Reliance World Cup also called the fourth cricket world cup is the fourth tournament in the ICC world cup series. The fourth cup was held between October 8 to November 8, 1987 and was jointly co-hosted by India and Pakistan. Total number of countries participated were 8 and the number of over’s were reduced from 60 to 50 for the first time. Australian became world champions for the first time in the 1987 world cup under the captainship of Allan Border.
