Benson and Hedges World Cup also called fifth world cup was the fifth in the series of ICC world cup series. It was held between Feb 22 and Mar 25, 1992 and was co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand. For the first time the number of participant increased from 8 to 9 in the world cup, and also for the first time coloured clothes for players, white cricket balls and black sight-screen were used in the world cup. Pakistan became world champions under the captainship of Imran Khan defeating England in the final. |
