The 2011 Cricket World Cup will be tenth world cup in the ICC cricket world cup series. It will be co-hosted by Bangladesh, India and Sri Lanka. The opening ceremony of the world cup would take place in Bangladesh on 17th Feb, 2011 and first match would be on 19th Feb, 2011. There would be 14th teams participating in the prestigious tournament and the final would be on 2nd April in Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
Number of teams: Australia, Bangladesh, Canada, England, India, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies and Zimbabwe are the 14 teams that would be competing for the prestigeous 2011 Cricket World Cup
Hosts: India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are the co-hosts of 2011 Cricket World Cup.

Trophy: The beautiful ICC Cricket World cup trophy would be provided to the winner of prestigious Cricket World Cup 2011. The trophy was created in 1999 by Garrard & Co. within 2 months. The trophy is now the permanent prize for the cricket world cup. It is 11 kilograms, 60 cm high having golden globe at top supported by 3 silver columns. The actual trophy is kept at Dubai at ICC headquarters, but the exact replica of it provided to the winning teams.
Ambassador: Sachin Tendulkar (India) is the official Ambassador of 2011 Cricket World Cup.
Prize Money: US $ 3 million is the prize money for the winners of 2011 Cricket World Cup.
Mascot: Stumy is the official mascot of 2011 Cricket World Cup. The mascot was unveiled by Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni and Kumar Sangakkara with 200 days remaining for 2011 Cricket World Cup.
Official Song: De Ghuma Ke is the official song of the 2011 Cricket World Cup. It is composed by Shakar-Ehsan-Loy and sung by Shankar Mahadevan and Divya Kumar, it is sung in Hindi, Bengali and Sinhalese.
